Join the Canadian Network for NTDs Steering Committee!

The Canadian Network for NTDs is seeking new Steering Committee Members to support the Canadian Network’s implementation of its strategic advocacy plan and our contributions towards meeting the WHO NTD Roadmap targets!

Each Steering Committee term is 2 years, renewable for up to 6 years. The Canadian Network for NTDS Steering Committee meets monthly for one hour, and from time to time, you may support, participate in, or plan special projects or events throughout the year.

Who YOU Are:

  • 18 years of age or older, living, working or studying in Canada, preferably with experience in the non-profit global health sector
  • Knowledgeable about NTDs and interested in integrating NTDs into the work that you do, or amplifying the deep NTD research or programing work that you do at a policy level
  • Experienced collaborator with a diversity of people with different expertise
  • A person with a deep commitment to equity in global health

Specific skills that would set you apart are experience or knowledge of nonprofit law and governance, fundraising and/or grant-making, health communications, media engagement and advocacy

What you’ll gain:

Steering Committee roles are voluntary. Through this experience, you will get to work with a diverse, skilled group of individuals working to secure greater Canadian engagement in global NTD prevention and treatment strategies. You will gain expertise in how to sustain a small, relatively new Network in Canada that focuses on NTD advocacy and action.
